Pfaff Aqua Magic Wide Stabilizer - 20" X 10yds
Pfaff® Aqua Magic Wide Stabilizer – 20" x 10 yds offers full-coverage water-soluble support that dissolves completely, leaving behind a soft, residue-free finish. Designed for embroidery projects where every trace of stabilizer needs to disappear, this fabric-like backing provides temporary yet reliable support and rinses away easily in warm water. Its wide 20-inch format is perfect for larger hoops and expansive embroidery designs, giving you uninterrupted coverage without piecing together smaller sheets.
Whether you're creating free-standing lace, heirloom embroidery, appliqué, or delicate embellishments, Pfaff® Aqua Magic Wide ensures beautiful results with a natural drape—no stiffness, no bulk, and no leftover fibers. It's ideal for light to medium-weight fabrics like batiste, tulle, chiffon, organza, knitwear, and more.
Recommended Use:
Perfect for small or hard-to-hoop items, all-yarn scarves, and mixed-media designs, this stabilizer holds fabric, yarns, ribbons, and trims securely during stitching. It’s an excellent alternative to sticky stabilizers—especially when complete wash-away removal is desired.

How to Use:
- Cut the Stabilizer: Trim a piece of Pfaff® Aqua Magic large enough to fit your hoop, allowing for at least 1" extra on all sides.
- Prepare the Stabilizer: Hoop the stabilizer with the paper side facing up.
- Expose the Adhesive Surface: Score an "X" in the paper using a pin or needle, being careful not to cut into the adhesive layer. Peel back the paper to reveal the tacky surface.
- Position the Fabric: Place your fabric or item right side up onto the exposed adhesive area.
- For Yarn or Ribbon Scarves: Arrange your materials on the adhesive, then cover with a water-soluble film to hold everything in place during stitching.
- Complete the Embroidery: Stitch your design as usual.
- Remove Excess Stabilizer: Trim away excess stabilizer beyond the design.
- Dissolve the Stabilizer: Submerge your finished piece in warm to hot water, gently agitating it for about 10 minutes until fully dissolved.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse under warm water to remove any remaining stabilizer residue. Repeat if necessary for dense stitching or heavy fabrics. If using hard water, add a softener or switch to distilled water.
- Dry the Item: Lay flat to dry completely.
